The BFI celebrates one of contemporary cinema's most original and unpredictable creators, featuring his masterpieces, including Father and Son and Russian Ark.
The BFI’s vast exploration into the history of Russian cinema continues with the season “A Spiritual Voice”, a journey through the films of Aleksandr Sokurov. Launched on Saturday 29th October, British audiences were given the opportunity to hear the thoughts and ideas that drive Sokurov when making his films in a fascinating Q&A. Continuing until the end of this year, there are still plenty of opportunities to explore Russian film with the BFI!
