Andrej Bielow makes his Wigmore Hall debut

Ukranian violinist Andrej Bielow, makes his solo Wigmore Hall debut on Friday 20 February at 7.30pm in a recital with pianist, Severin von Eckardstein. Andrej is well-known to Wigmore audiences as leader of the Szymanowski Quartet - a position he has held since 2005.
His wide-ranging repertoire includes some 30 concertos for violin and orchestra from Vivaldi to Wieniawski, through Bach, Mozart, Sibelius and Mozart and many more. His programme for Wigmore Hall on 20 February includes Prokofiev's Violin Sonata No.2 in D, which Andrej has recorded to critical acclaim. Other works are Bach's renowned Chaconne from the Partita No.2 in D minor for solo violin, Schubert's Fantasy in C and Wieniawski's Faust Fantasy.
