One of the most beautiful and poetic films of Russian New Wave cinema, Euphoria tells a story of unexpected, true, and ruthless love, an eternal story of Romeo and Juliet, whose love is too big for the real world. Made in 2007, Euphoria is the debut film of Ivan Vyrypaev, who is now the artistic director of the Practika Theatre in Moscow and one of the most influential figures in contemporary Russian culture. The film won many international prizes, including major awards at the Berlin and Venice Film Festivals.
