Innovation Prize Winners Announced
The winners of this year’s Innovation Prize for Contemporary Visual Art have been announced!
Congratulations to art collective PROVMYZA for winning this year’s coveted ‘Work of Visual Art’ Prize for their operatic production ‘Marevo’ (Mirage), an apocalyptic thriller which deals with the aftermath of a fatal car crash.
In the other categories, Yaroslava Bubnova won the Curatorial Project Award for her exhibition ‘The Eye Sees Itself’, while the award for Art Theory and Criticism went to Elena Petrovskaya for her book ‘Anonymous Communities’. The other winners include Ilya Dolgov ‘s solo exhibition ‘Herbarium’ (Regional Project Award), and Ivan Plush received the New Generation Award for his installation ‘The Process of Passage’.
Special awards were given to Erik Bulatov for creative contribution to the development of contemporary art, and the Mikhail Prokhorov Fund for the support of Russian contemporary art:
Congratulations to all the winners! All the nominees are being exhibited until May 5 at the National Centre for Contemporary Arts, Moscow.
