“Orphan” is the director’s first feature length film. A VGIK graduate, Kaminsky only started on his career as a director relatively recently, but his strong debut film has been well received by critics and the public alike. Particular successful has been the unlikely casting of famous Russian comic actor Sergei Svetlakov as a violent kidnapper.
