synopsis

A documentary film about an outstanding Russian filmmaker Alexei German.  An honest and informal narrative told by the filmmaker about his life, his films and things that trouble him. The idea to grant a musical theme to film about German is quite significant, as it is a well-known fact that all of German's films are practically devoid of music. Parallel to German's story, is a story of his one and only St. Petersburg. The ‘symphony' of the city accompanies the film with brief, yet memorable impressions.
