Dmitry Sobolev
biography
Dmitry was born in 1974 in Moscow. In 2000 he entered the scriptwriting department at the Russian State Institute of Cinematography. He studied under U.N.Arabova and T.A.Dubrovinoi and graduated in 2005. In 2004 he received the first prize for Best Screenplay from the Russo-American Fund 'Hartley-Merrill USA' for his script 'Organic Chemistry'. In 2006, he won the Golden Eagle prize for best screenplay for his script for Pavel Lungin's hugely successful film, 'Island'.
