The film follows tank crewman, Ivan Naydenov, in his quest to overcome the almost mythical “White Tiger” - a rogue Nazi tank which destroys everything – and everyone - in its path. We follow him on his increasingly obsessive mission culminating in an explosive scene in which Naydenov eventually meets his legendary enemy.
Brimming with action but still maintaining its psychological subtleties and deep characterisation, this film was selected as the Russian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards. Join us on 18 December at Empire Leicester Square to catch this unmissable film!
This screening is supported by the Russian Embassy to mark the 70th Anniversary of The Battle of Stalingrad.
