Rules & Regulations
(i) All entries must reach Academia Rossica on or before 15 March 2012. Entries received after this deadline will not be sent to the judges.
(ii) All candidates must be aged 24 or under on this day (15 March 2012) to be eligible to enter the competition.
(iii) Entrants must translate one of the three extracts in this brochure in English. Translations of any other work will not be considered. The extracts are all from books recently published in Russia to great acclaim, namely:
• Виктор Пелевин, S.N.U.F.F.
• Фигль-Мигль, Ты так любишь эти фильмы
• Дмитрий Быков, Остромов, или Ученик чародея: Пособие по левитации
(iv) Entries should be submitted electronically to james.rann@academia-rossica.org, with the subject line ‘RYTA submission’.
(v) Each entry must include:
• The translator’s name.
• The translator’s date of birth.
• The educational institution to which the translator is attached
(if applicable).
(vi) Group translations are permitted. However, the name, date of birth and educational institution of every translator must be included with the submission.
